Eligibility Conditions

The long-term visit pass for a mother accompanying a child studying in Singapore is available if the child holds a valid Student’s Pass and is enrolled in a government, government-aided, or independent school at the primary or secondary level. The mother must be the biological or legally adoptive parent of the child. Only one parent—the mother—is eligible for this pass; fathers and other relatives are not eligible.

Required Documents

To apply for the long-term visit pass, the following documents are generally required: - A completed application form. - The child’s birth certificate, showing the mother’s name. - The child’s valid Student’s Pass. - The mother’s passport, with at least six months’ validity. - A recent passport-sized photograph of the mother. - The school’s confirmation letter of the child’s enrollment. - If applicable, legal documents proving adoption.

All documents must be in English or officially translated into English.

• The pass is only valid for the duration of the child’s Student’s Pass, and renewal is tied to the child’s continued enrollment.
• The mother is not permitted to work or engage in any form of employment while holding this pass.
• Any change in the child’s schooling status (e.g., withdrawal, completion of studies) immediately affects the mother’s long-term visit pass validity.
• Processing times vary; early application is recommended.
• The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) may request additional documents or an interview.
